# Set Your Schedule and Availability on Glamease

> Control when clients can book you on Glamease by setting working hours, blocking dates, and managing your real-time availability calendar.

Your schedule belongs to you. Glamease gives you full control over when clients can book your services, set your working hours, block off dates you're unavailable, and let the platform handle the rest. Clients only ever see the slots you've opened up, so you can build a booking calendar that fits your life and your business.

## Setting Working Hours

Working hours define your default availability for each day of the week. Glamease applies these hours automatically so clients know exactly when they can book you without you having to manage individual time slots manually.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your Schedule settings">
    Tap your profile icon in the top corner of the app, then select **Schedule & Availability** from your professional settings menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select a day of the week">
    Tap any day, Monday through Sunday, to set your start and end times for that day. For example, you might set Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and leave weekends toggled off.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Toggle days on or off">
    Use the toggle next to each day to mark it as a working day or a day off. Days toggled off won't appear as available to clients at all.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save your hours">
    Tap **Save** after configuring each day. Your updated hours go live immediately for future bookings.
  </Step>

## Blocking Dates

Sometimes you need time off, for a vacation, personal appointments, rest days, or anything else. Use date blocking to mark specific dates as unavailable without changing your recurring weekly hours.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Schedule & Availability">
    From your profile settings, tap **Schedule & Availability**, then select **Block Dates**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the date or date range">
    Tap a single date on the calendar to block it, or press and hold to select a range of consecutive dates, perfect for blocking an entire vacation week.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the block">
    Tap **Block Selected Dates** to confirm. Those dates will immediately show as unavailable to clients. Any existing bookings on those dates are not automatically cancelled, review your upcoming appointments before blocking dates you already have clients scheduled on.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Blocking a date does not automatically cancel existing appointments on that date. Before blocking, check your upcoming bookings and reach out to any affected clients to reschedule.
</Warning>

## Real-Time Availability

Glamease keeps your availability calendar in sync as bookings come in. You don't need to manually remove time slots after someone books, the platform does it for you.

When a client books a time slot, that slot is immediately removed from your public availability. Other clients browsing your profile will only see the slots that are still open. This prevents double-bookings and eliminates the back-and-forth of manually managing your calendar.

## Buffer Time

Buffer time is a gap you can add between appointments, giving yourself space to clean up your workspace, reset your tools, or simply take a breath before your next client arrives.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Buffer Time settings">
    In **Schedule & Availability**, scroll down to the **Buffer Time** section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your buffer duration">
    Choose a buffer length, for example, 15 or 30 minutes. This window is automatically added after each appointment and is not bookable by clients.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save your preference">
    Tap **Save**. Going forward, every appointment you receive will automatically have that buffer built in before the next available slot opens.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Set a realistic buffer, especially for longer or more complex services like full installs, color treatments, or protective styles. Rushing between clients impacts the quality of your work and your experience. A 30-minute buffer after a 3-hour session is a reasonable starting point.
</Tip>

<Note>
  You can update your availability at any time, working hours, blocked dates, and buffer settings alike. All changes reflect immediately for future bookings. Already-confirmed appointments are not affected by availability updates.
